How long does it take for my CCW permit application to be approved?
| Per
NRS 202.366 the Sheriff to whom you
will submit your application for a CCW permit has 120 days to approve or deny
your permit. There are a number of factors that effect the time it
takes to process your permit - the current number of applicants, possible backlog at
the FBI fingerprint service, data input/clerical backlogs, application
inaccuracies, and other
factors. |
| Some people have reported getting
a permit back in as little as two weeks, while for others it took nearly the
full 120 days to receive it. |
| The sooner you take the course and
apply for the permit, the sooner you will receive it. |
